There are days when I want to keep everything very simple — light makeup, a black top, clean skin, maybe just a little mascara. But even on those days, I still want to look finished, not like I just rolled out the door.

This button pearl necklace was made for days like that.

Because the pearls are flat and sit close to the skin, they quietly trace the line of your collarbone instead of swinging around. It doesn’t feel fussy or “overdressed” — it just adds a calm, tidy highlight to whatever you’re wearing.

Back in the winter of 2022, I set aside about 200 strands of these pearls for this design. That winter was especially cold, which for freshwater pearls usually means brighter luster. I picked the most flawless ones to use in pendants like Luna Embrace, and from the remaining pearls I matched the most even, harmonious strands for this necklace.

The overall feeling was very important to me: I didn’t want it to look like a bridal piece. I wanted something you could wear to work, brunch, family dinners, or small celebrations — the kind of necklace that simply lives with you.

It won’t steal the spotlight, but it will quietly soften your look and make you feel a little more polished, even on the simplest, most comfortable days.
