Alya's - Star Pearl Charm Necklace
Star Pearl Necklace
As you may have seen on Instagram, we’ve just harvested a fresh batch of star pearls. The moment they arrived, Sheiry and I jumped into the studio and made a few pieces we genuinely love — just in time for Christmas.
Details:
- Star shape pearl
- 3-4mm rice shape pearl
- Rice shape pearl necklace
This necklace started with a very specific memory from last Christmas. We went to a parade in Auckland, and the lights were unreal — golden stars drifting down from the ceiling, paired with tiny diamond-shaped bulbs. It felt dreamy in that playful, holiday way that makes you stop walking just to look up.
I wanted to borrow that feeling and turn it into something you could actually wear.
A necklace made only of star pearls felt a little too quiet for the idea, so I added a few small pearls in colors that naturally echoed the stars — like little lights orbiting around them. It’s subtle, but it brings the whole piece to life.
To me, this one feels best on someone bright and a little mischievous — the kind of girl who laughs easily and makes ordinary days feel lighter. And oddly enough, these pearls look even more beautiful in softer lighting. In slightly darker spaces, they catch the light in their own gentle way — like tiny holiday lights that didn’t want the night to end.
Notes
• No two pieces will ever look exactly the same as the photos — every pearl has its own shape, glow, and quiet personality. The one that finds its way to you will be the only one of its kind — a small treasure meant for no one else.
• Each piece is handmade in the studio, so it may take up to 5 days to finish. If you need it sooner, just email or DM us — we’ll do our best to move your order ahead for you.
Care Instructions
• Try to keep your pearls away from chemicals and prolonged sunlight exposure. Pearls are organic gemstones — with improper storage, they may gradually lose their natural glow.
• When cleaning, use a soft cloth instead of tissues or paper-based wipes. A pearl’s shine comes from the continuity of its reflective surface, and hard fibers can create micro-scratches that interrupt that smooth reflection. Keeping the surface unbroken is key to preserving its brightness.
• Please check your clasps and pearl thread from time to time. Even though we use high-quality Japanese silk thread, all pearl strings naturally wear with use — usually after 4–5 years.
Where every pearl finds its story, and a new chapter starts with you!
