As you may have seen on Instagram, we’ve just harvested a fresh batch of 5A star pearls. The moment they arrived, Sheiry and I jumped into the studio and made a few pieces we genuinely love — just in time for Christmas. This is our most refined star pearl necklace from the 2025 harvest.

The Story Behind This Star Pearl Necklace

This necklace started with a very specific memory from last Christmas. We went to a parade in Auckland, and the lights were unreal — golden stars drifting down from the ceiling, paired with tiny diamond-shaped bulbs. It felt dreamy in that playful, holiday way that makes you stop walking just to look up.

I wanted to borrow that feeling and turn it into something you could actually wear.

A necklace made only of star pearls felt a little too quiet for the idea, so I added a few small rice pearls in colors that naturally echoed the stars — like little lights orbiting around them. It’s subtle, but it brings the whole piece to life and makes this star pearl necklace feel like a tiny constellation you can keep with you.

To me, this one feels best on someone bright and a little mischievous — the kind of girl who laughs easily and makes ordinary days feel lighter. And oddly enough, these star-shaped pearls look even more beautiful in softer lighting. In slightly darker spaces, they catch the light in their own gentle way — like tiny holiday lights that didn’t want the night to end.
