At Alya Pearl, our AAAAA-grade pearls are defined by their exceptional luster, perfectly round shape, and flawless surface.

This pendant is as simple as it looks: a single 10–11mm pearl on a quiet silver chain. There’s nowhere to hide in a design like this — which means the pearl has to carry everything. That’s exactly why I love making it.

The pearl I choose for this piece is a 5A grade, perfectly smooth and bright, but what matters to me even more is the time behind it. It spends around six years growing in the water before it’s ready — six winters, six summers, all hidden inside one round, calm surface. By the time it reaches my workbench, it already feels complete, like something that has taken its time to become itself.

When you wear it, it doesn’t shout or compete. It just sits there, quietly catching the light, holding its own history — years of slow growth, patience, and a kind of silent strength that doesn’t need any decoration at all.

• No two pieces will ever look exactly the same as the photos — every pearl has its own shape, glow, and quiet personality. The one that finds its way to you will be the only one of its kind — a small treasure meant for no one else.

Care Instructions

• Try to keep your pearls away from chemicals and prolonged sunlight exposure. Pearls are organic gemstones — with improper storage, they may gradually lose their natural glow.

• When cleaning, use a soft cloth instead of tissues or paper-based wipes. A pearl’s shine comes from the continuity of its reflective surface, and hard fibers can create micro-scratches that interrupt that smooth reflection. Keeping the surface unbroken is key to preserving its brightness.

• Please check your clasps and pearl thread from time to time. Even though we use high-quality Japanese silk thread, all pearl strings naturally wear with use — usually after 4–5 years.
